Youth struck by vehicle

A young person was hit by a vehicle on Okanagan Landing Road Thursday morning, but fortunately was not injured.

The youth was hit at the intersection of 34th Street and Okanagan Avenue.

RCMP attended the scene and the youth that was struck was treated on scene for minor injuries by EHS and released to his mother and off to school he went,” said Vernon RCMP Const. Kelly Brett. “A motor vehicle act charge for failing to yield was issued to the driver.”
