Pop-up art at Caetani

Visiting artist Roberta Pyx Sutherland is holding a two-day pop-up exhibition at the Caetani Centre this weekend.

Sutherland is one of the centre's visiting artists and specializes in mixed-media. The work created during her stay will be celebrated with the weekend pop-up exhibition.

The public is invited to attend two free events:

  • Reception: Saturday, Oct. 14th, 4-7 p.m.
  • Gallery hours: Sunday, Oct. 15th 10 a.m.-2 p.m.

Sutherland lived and worked in her studio in Enderby in the 1990s and is well known in the Okanagan art scene, but now resides in Victoria.

The exhibit will focus on large scale drawings that reflect an enduring connection to the land and kind friends in the valley.

Sutherland is collected by the Canada Council Art Bank, numerous private and public collections. Her recent sculpture created at the Mount Subasio UNESCO world heritage site in Assisi received the Juror’s Award of excellence at the Sooke Fine Art Show.
