Due to reductions in turbidity levels, the Westbank Irrigation District has rescinded its water quality advisory effective immediately.
Testing shows that current water quality is GOOD due to turbidities ranging below 1 NTU. Health risk decreases as turbidity levels are reduced.
The Westbank Irrigation District has been monitoring turbidity levels on a daily basis and average daily turbidities for the past few weeks have been consistently below 1 NTU.
District staff feels comfortable that average daily turbidities should remain below this level for the remainder of the year.
The Westbank Irrigation District would like to thank its customers for their patience during past Water Quality Advisories and reminds customers that with the operation of the Powers Creek Water Treatment Plant (expected in early 2007) water turbidity will be greatly improved and will meet or exceed existing standards throughout the year.
