Police attended a Royal Bank branch in Vernon last week after an alleged bank robbery.
The suspect in an alleged bank heist in Vernon last week has been charged with robbery and possession of heroin.
Cody Douglas Lawrence, 25, next appears in provincial court on July 27th for a bail hearing.
Lawrence has a previous rap sheet, court records show.
On July 10th, police cars were seen racing to the Royal Bank branch at the Polson Mall around 2:30 p.m. after a report of a robbery.
A suspect fled on foot and officers closed the Polson Park boardwalk while a search was carried out. A suspect was not located there but was captured a few hours later in Okanagan Landing.
Police have not disclosed how much cash was taken.
