Nature lovers got an unexpected surprise this week when two young moose showed up on the shores of Okanagan Lake on the Westside.
They spent several hours on the shores of Gellatly Bay to the pleasure of on-lookers.
It's believed the pair became separated from their mother, who was nowhere to be seen.
RCMP called conservation officers Tuesday afternoon because of public safety concerns. The officers indicated they wouldn't be showing up because "moose can swim."
