Suspicious Deaths In Lumby

Members of the Lumby RCMP Detachment and RCMP Southeast District Major Crime Unit are on the scene of two suspicious deaths near Lumby. B.C.

Police were alerted last evening by a family member who went to the rural residence to check on his uncle and the uncle’s common law wife. Both the male and female were found deceased inside the home. The male is 50 yrs old, the female is 43 yrs old. The two had lived in a common law relationship for the past 8 years.

Police are not releasing names or the cause of death as yet. Notifications of next of kin continue. The investigation is still in it’s initial stages but at this point the public can be assured that they have nothing to fear from unknown persons within or outside the community.
