Fire Destroys Peachland Home

The Peachland Volunteer Fire Department continues to look into the cause of a fire which destroyed an elderly couples log home Saturday afternoon.

The couple, both in their 80's, were taken to Kelowna General Hospital with smoke inhalation---both are expected to be okay.

The homeowner and neighbours attempted to fight the fire with garden hoses before fire crews from Peachland and Westside arrived on the scene.

Neighbours on the scene say the fire spread quickly through the home.

No dollar value has been placed on the blaze.
