NDP visit Vernon-Monashee

New Democrats will be flooding into Vernon next week to meet with supporters and work on election strategy ahead of next year's provincial election.

The leader of the B.C. New Democrats, John Horgan, and his caucus will be holding a strategy session next Wednesday at the Village Green Hotel.

Horgan and NDP MLAs will also be meeting with supporters.

A press release states Horgan will lay out his plans to win in the Vernon-Monashee riding in the next election.

The riding is held by Liberal MLA Eric Foster who has won two elections in a row.

“I am travelling across this province fighting to build a better B.C.,” said Horgan in the press release. “As premier, I will stand up for families and build an economy that works for everyone, not just the wealthy and Christy Clark’s donors.

“I’m appalled at the poor state of seniors' care and the growing number of seniors at risk of homelessness, and Christy Clark does nothing.”

The public meet-and-greet with the NDP will take place at the hotel next Wednesday at 6:30 p.m.
