The fourth annual Halloween Spooktacular will be scaring up donations for two local charities.
Held in the ballroom of the Vernon Atrium Hotel, the event is put on by Mystics in the Marketplace and will feature 45 local vendors.
This year, Spooktacular will benefit the Vernon Pet Soup Kitchen and the Vernon Food Bank. Donations of cash and non-perishable food items for the two agencies are being accepted.
There will be a costume contest for kids under 10 at 3 p.m., and trick or treating for all kids in costumes at each of the booths from 1 p.m. until the candy runs out.
The Spooktacular will be held just in time for Halloween, Oct. 29 from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.
