Water supply restored

The Kalamalka Lake water source will be turned back on Wednesday, Oct. 12 following needed repairs to the pump station.

The Kalamalka pump station was shut down on Sept. 28 to accommodate replacement of the transformer that supplies power to the station.

The project has been successfully completed and Greater Vernon Water can now return the water supply back to normal operations.

Customers on the Kalamalka Lake supply may notice a change in water quality such as an increase in hardness. This may be of interest to those customers who have in-home water treatment systems or aquariums.
