A huge parcel of land at Vernon's exclusive golfing community “The Rise” is up for sale for a hefty $24 million.
Colliers International of Vancouver put 543 acres of land up for sale for its Calgary owners on Tuesday.
“They're an investment group,” said Marshall MacLeod, Colliers associate vice president. “They're not developers.”
The Rise boasts a Fred Couples' signature golf course which is not part of the sale.
“These are development lands around the golf course,” MacLeod explained.
“The market in the Okanagan is improving....We will definitely have some interest. This is a good time to sell.”
“More than 200 people call The Rise home, and over the next 20 years, it is expected to welcome several hundred more families ready to enjoy 662 acres of spectacular living high above the warm, pristine waters of Okanagan Lake,” states an online ad.
