Game tickets unclaimed

There are still hundreds of unclaimed Hockeyville tickets waiting to be picked up.

Lumby was awarded the 2016 Kraft Hockeyville title earlier this year, and along with $100,000 to renovate the Pat Duke Memorial Arena, Lumby also won the opportunity to host an NHL pre-season game.

The Edmonton Oilers will meet the Los Angeles Kings Sunday at Kal Tire Place in Vernon Sunday.

Local Hockeyville campaign organizers set up a lottery-style draw to see who will get to see the game and practice. The winners were announced last Thursday on Facebook, but as of Sunday afternoon there were still many unclaimed tickets.

Organizers said as there are hundreds of tickets not picked up over the past weekend, the local organizing committee is giving ticket winners one last shot.

Organizer Angie Clowry said because they want as many kids and local hockey fans as possible to attend, an extra day has been added to pick up the tickets.

Tuesday between 3-7 p.m. at the Lumby Chamber Visitors Centre will be the last chance for winners to pick up their tickets.

Clowry said more than 3,300 tickets for the NHL game and practice have been made available for fans.
