Morty needsss sssome help

Mortimer is not your average pet.

He's not exactly the classic definition of cute and cuddly, but to Andrew Brys, 'Morty' the ball python is his “baby boy.”

Morty has become ill, so Brys started a Go Fund Me page to raise money to cover the veterinarian bills for the white-pinkish snake.

“Mortimer is a 2.5-year-old ball python I purchased from a breeder just over a month ago. Sadly, just a few weeks after receiving him, I noticed something was very wrong. He wasn't eating, and still hasn't taken a meal since I got him,” said Brys, adding Morty has also developed a rash.

“I took him to the vet, and was sent home with four different medications, including injections. He doesn't seem to be getting any better though, and what I thought was scale rot is turning out to be probably septicaemia.”

Morty is in need of blood work and overnight stays at the vet's office, all of which costs money Brys does not have.

“I hate asking strangers for money, but I need to make my baby boy healthy again. Anything helps, and Morty and I appreciate it so much,” he said.
