'My heart is broken'

All Michelle McPhie wants is her husband's bike back – no questions asked.

McPhie's husband, Neil, passed away from a brain tumour in May and sometime Sunday night, someone stole his mountain bike.

McPhie said she accidentally left the garage door open and when she noticed in the morning, the grey and red GT mountain bike was gone.

“They must have just seen it, taken it and ran,” said McPhie.

While there were other items in the garage, the mountain bike was the only thing missing.

“My heart is broken knowing someone out there has his bike,” said McPhie, who posted a plea online for the return of the bike.

While the bike has some monetary value, McPhie wants it back for its irreplaceable sentimental value.

“If you have heart, you will return it,” she said. “You can drop it off in the middle of the night, leave it on my lawn, in my driveway.”

McPhie did not want to publish her address, but said whoever stole the bike knows where they got it.

She said they could even drop it off at the police station without consequence.
