Movie filming downtown

Filming continues for a teen vampire movie in Vernon.

Sepia Films will be shooting scenes downtown on 30th Avenue, Monday.

The work will take place between 29th and 30th streets, from 2:30 to 7 p.m.

The street will remain open to traffic and pedestrians, except for two parking stalls in front of Pooh’s & Beans Sweet Shop.

The film started shooting in the area in August and is expected to wrap up this week.

Vancouver-based Sepia has brought five films to the Valley, says Okanagan Film Commissioner Jon Summerland.

Drink Slay Love stars Cierra Ramirez and Gregg Sulkin.

It's about a 16-year-old vampire named Pearl.

The movie will premiere on Lifetime and A&E in early 2017.
