Drive-thru fundraiser

No time for breakfast? No problem.

The 16th annual United Way Drive-Thru Breakfast takes place Sept. 22, from 6 to 9 a.m. – and not only can people grab a bite to eat, they can help a worthy charity in the process.

The drive-thru will be held at the Vernon Atrium Hotel and Conference Centre.

Last year, United Way sold 800 breakfast bags, raising $9,218 to fund local initiatives addressing social issues affecting the communities.

“For 2016, we are aiming to surpass that amount and introduce a corporate challenge component to our Drive-Thru Breakfast,” says Linda Yule, executive director, United Way North Okanagan Columbia Shuswap.

United Way North Okanagan Columbia Shuswap has been supporting communities in the region since 1961.

Telus Communications has stepped up and partnered with United Way NOCS and has been the first to initiate the corporate challenge by giving a donation.
