A body was discovered in the creek near 34th Street and 23rd Avenue in Vernon on Saturday morning, according to the RCMP.
At approximately 8 a.m., Vernon/North Okanagan RCMP responded to a call regarding the body.
The B.C. Ambulance Service and Vernon Fire Department also attended and located the body of a 47-year-old man.
The deceased has been secured and the RCMP are continuing to investigate in conjunction with the B.C. Coroners Service.
The name of the deceased and any further details are not being released at this time.
