What's better than a cold adult beverage on a hot summer day?

Having a cold adult beverage on a hot summer day while raising money for a non-profit group.

Summer Suds takes place Saturday at the Vernon recreation complex from 3-7 p.m. and will not only feature beers from across the province, but will also raise money for the Kindale Developmental Association.

Kindale supports people with disabilities - primarily adults - their families, and their communities and is a community-based network of dedicated people providing individualized person-centred support for people with disabilities within an inclusive and interdependent community.

Colin Hamilton, manager of the Village Green Liquor Store and Summer Suds committee member said vendors will be coming from the Kootenays, Vancouver Island and beyond.

More than 80 flavours of suds will be at the inaugural event.

Tickets are available at the Village Green Liquor Store. No tickets will be sold at the door.
