Slashing victim still in coma

The victim of an attack Monday night in Vernon remains in hospital in a coma.

Police said the unidentified man who was slashed several times is in stable condition, but has yet to regain consciousness and is thus unable to provide any information.

Police do not have any suspects in the assault that happened at the corner of 25th Avenue and 41st Street.

The man was found lying on the side of the road with multiple lacerations at 10 p.m. Monday.

Vernon RCMP were at the crime scene throughout Tuesday morning gathering evidence.
