Party time in Lumby

Residents of Lumby are inviting everyone to head out this weekend for Lumby Days.

The theme for the 61st annual event is Celebrate Our History.

Lumby Days kicks off at 3 p.m. Friday, June 10 when the popular Midway opens. There will also be a food row, beverage garden and live entertainment throughout the weekend.

On Saturday, June 11, Lumby Days kicks into high gear with events starting at 7 a.m.

Hang gliders and paragliders will once again take to the sky for the 11th Annual Lumby Air Races which started Monday and run through June 11 at Freedom Flight Park.

The Lumby area is rated as one of the best in North America for powerless flight.

Some of the best hang gliders and paragliders in the world attend the event.

The Lumby Days parade starts at 11 a.m. with the midway opening at noon and numerous other events planned throughout including Thrash Wrestling, a show and shine, live entertainment and extreme freestyle motocross.

Sunday also features a full day of events from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m.
