Wounded man on street

A man found on the street with multiple lacerations Monday night was taken to Vernon Jubilee Hospital for treatment.

Vernon RCMP responded to the corner of 25th Avenue and 41st Street just after 10 p.m.

There, they found a man with multiple injuries.

The man was taken to VJH by B.C. Ambulance paramedics. His condition has not been released.

Police were still on the scene early this morning, RCMP spokesperson Const. Jocelyn Noseworthy said in a press release.

The alley between 25th and 26th avenues between 43rd and 41st streets has been cordoned off, and the public is asked to avoid the area until police have completed their investigation.

Anyone with information about the incident is asked to call police at 250-545-7171 or CrimeStoppers at 1-800-222-8477.

The name of the victim has not been released.
