Sawicki Park on Middleton Mountain is getting back its fence following complaints from residents who feel it is a safety issue for their children.
Council has voted to have a fence re-installed around the perimeter of the park.
The three entrances to the north, south and middle will have additional fencing to stop balls from rolling out directly onto the street.
The fence was removed and trees planted in mid April to delineate the boundary of the park and improve pedestrian access.
However residents and some members of council expressed concern over how fast people drove along Middleton Way.
The speed limit in the park area is 30k/hr from dawn until dusk.
