Only two weeks to the finish for those who want to nominate the very best in sports in the North Okanagan.
The May 31 deadline for nominations is fast approaching for the 2016 Tim Hortons North Okanagan Athlete, Team and Leadership of the Year awards.
Nominations can be submitted to Ken Richardson, chairman of the selection committee, by calling 250-542-1796 or emailing [email protected].
The awards are chosen by a panel of media and community representatives and will be handed out June 15.
The awards have been handed out since 1994.
In 2015, winners included swimmer Savannah King (Athlete of the Year), the Jim Cotter's rink (Team of the Year) and Jan Mori (Leadership award).
The nominees must be an athlete or team that has represented the North Okanagan in professional or amateur sports from June 2015 to present.
The Leadership in Sports award is for community leaders in sports such as coaches or organizers.
