Rollover slows traffic

Traffic was slowed along 32nd Street by Vernon Square Monday afternoon following an unusual accident.

Witnesses at the scene said a southbound silver Suzuki Swift was cut off by a larger white SUV that was pulling out of the strip mall.

The driver of the Suzuki attempted to avoid a collision and hit the concrete median, causing it to roll over completely into the oncoming northbound lane.

The car then rolled back into the southbound lane where it came to rest.

Police at the scene said the driver was checked by ambulance crews for minor injuries.

There is no word if charges will be filed in relation to the incident.
