RCMP in Vernon have busted a marijuana grow op – right across the street from Vernon Secondary School.
Police executed a search warrant Wednesday evening at a home on the 2400 block of 15th Street.
More than 10 kilograms of pot, as well as numerous items used in the production of the drug, were seized.
"The location of this grow op was particularly concerning because it is a residential area and very close to a school," said Vernon RCMP spokesperson Const. Jocelyn Noseworthy.
Police are still investigating the matter, and charges have yet to be laid.
