The B.C. Arts Council has been handing out grants to arts groups in the Shuswap.
A total of six groups have received a combined $81,366 in grants.
They include:
- Arts Council for the South Shuswap/Shuswap Children’s Theatre Foundation: $9,700
- Eagle Valley Arts Council: $6,000
- Enderby and District Arts Council: $12,565
- Salmon Arm Folk Music Society: $18,000
- Salmon Arm Museum and Heritage Association: $17,000
- Shuswap District Arts Council: $18,101
“These arts and culture groups are part of what makes the Shuswap a great place to live,” said Shuswap MLA Greg Kyllo. “The arts are an essential ingredient to the well-being of any community, and I’m proud of the financial support that our government is able to provide through the B.C. Arts Council.”
