Once again, Vernon Women in Business will be honouring North Okanagan women who have made a difference in the community.
Eleven nominees are up for the Woman of Year 2016 award: Sareena Nickoli, Jennifer Thompson, Niki Knight, Sandra Patterson, Janice Foster, Juliette Cunningham, Karla Ziegler, Sherry Lukey, Becky Martselos, Benita Elliott and Caroline Radics.
The Woman of the Year Gala celebration and dinner will be held Thursday, May 12 at the Prestige Hotel starting at 5:30 p.m. where an independent judges’ panel will announce the Woman of the Year 2016 winner.
Tickets to the gala are $40 until May 6 and can be purchased through PayPal at vwib.com or by cash/cheque at White House Wellness Centre, 3107-27 St.
Tickets are expected to sell out and will be $50 after May 6.
The 2015 Woman of the Year recipient was Anne McMeeking-Walsh.
