Some of the best swordspeople in the region will be heading to Vernon next month for the Okanagan Freestyle Fencing Club and School District 22 Fencing Club annual tournament.
Fencers from Vernon, Kelowna, the Lower Mainland and Alberta are expected to compete in kids and adult categories.
Also expected to attend are fencers who have competed on the National Cadet Epee team (16 and under), and in past World Cup events
The Jeux de Pomme will be held at Beairsto Elementary School May 14-15. Youths start at 8 a.m. with adults to follow.
Also competing will be Okanagan Freestyle Fencing head coach Matt Clarke who is ranked 25th in Canada.
