Mother appeals for help

All Priscilla Potts wants is to see her daughter again.

It has been more than a month since friends and family had any contact with Caitlin Potts, 27, who was last heard from on Feb. 22.

She was reported missing to police March 1, and on Thursday, her mother issued an appeal through the RCMP for information on her whereabouts.

“Myself and the rest of Caitlin’s family have not heard from her since February, and we are very worried," said her mother.

"Caitlin is 27 years old and leads a socially active life. Her lack of online communication with friends and loved ones is out of character for my daughter.

“We believe that someone must have information about Caitlin and perhaps know where she is right now. We also need to hear from anyone who may have had contact with her or have seen her since she was last heard from on Feb. 22.... We simply need to hear from her so that we know she is OK."

Caitlin is originally from Alberta, but moved to British Columbia last fall.

Const. Jocelyn Noseworthy said RCMP will continue to investigate her disappearance until her current whereabouts are known.

“Family and the Vernon/North Okanagan RCMP need to know that she is safe and sound,” said Noseworthy.

Anyone with information is asked to call the RCMP or CrimeStoppers at 1-800-222-8477 to remain anonymous.
