Get online and vote Lumby

It's time go online and vote.

Lumby is encouraging everyone to cast their vote to make the North Okanagan community Kraft Hockeyville 2016.

Angie Clowry is leading the charge to win the annual contest and she said votes are all that matter at this point of the competition.

“This round wins strictly by online votes,” says Angie Clowry. “We've had people dropping by the Lumby chamber office visiting centre all morning with many at home voting online.”

A hot dog barbecue is underway in the parking lot across from the visitor centre with free wifi so people can grab a dog, and cast a vote.
Voting, which can be done at khv2016.ca, started at 6 a.m. Sunday and closes at 9 p.m. Monday.

The winning community receives a $100,000 grand prize and a chance to host a NHL pre-season game.

Clowry said the money will be used to renovate the girl's change room in the '60s-era Pat Duke Memorial Arena.
