The RCMP are investigating following a suspicious car fire in the 3800 block of 40th Avenue early Tuesday morning.
A Vernon Fire Rescue crew was called out at about 4 a.m. to douse the “fully involved” fire in a white Chevy Malibu, according to fire captain Dan Walker.
“It is under investigation,” said Walker. “It is deemed suspicious.”
Despite the early hour, the fire had quite an audience as a large apartment block sits at the site. Walker said 20 to 30 people were watching the blaze.
