JCI (Junior Chamber International) Vernon is hosting a Zumbathon March 18, from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Vernon Rec Centre auditorium.
JCI members are fundraising to attend the JCI World Congress in Quebec City this November, a conference that draws thousands of members from across the globe to share, learn and celebrate their accomplishments.
JCI Vernon is part of a worldwide network of nearly 250,000 members – young leaders in their twenties and thirties – in more than 100 countries and territories.
The organization provides young people the opportunity to develop the leadership skills, social responsibility, entrepreneurship and fellowship necessary to create positive change.
Funds from the Zumbathon will help cover travel costs and conference fees for local chapter members.
Local zumba instructors will lead participants through two 45-minute sets. Door prizes will be also be handed out.
