Break-in at hobby store

A local hobby store was broken in to over the weekend and two expensive remote-controlled vehicles were stolen.

Vernon RCMP Const. Jocelyn Noseworthy said at around 12:15 a.m. Jan. 31, a man broke in to Lester's Hobby Shop and stole two remote-controlled 4x4 style vehicles, valued at approximately $600 each.

The suspect gained entry by forcing open the back door. The store does have video surveillance, but Noseworthy said the quality was not good enough to get a description of the suspect.
