Vipers make deadline deal

The Vernon Vipers made one move as part of the Jan. 10 BC Hockey League trade deadline.

The Vipers shipped D-man Griffin James to the Burlington Cougars of the Ontario Junior Hockey League in exchange for future considerations.

“Griffin wanted an opportunity to play closer to home and we were able to make that happen. We wish him the best of luck moving forward,” said Vipers bench boss Mark Ferner.

The deal leaves the Vipers with a 21-man roster and the opportunity to add one more player.
