The body of a woman, who went missing in Vernon Dec. 18th, has been found.
RCMP say they were notified by family and friends of the discovery of Aurelia Wedenig's body around noon Wednesday.
The 65-year-old's remains were located in a thick stand of trees bordering a property at the eastern end of 30th Avenue in Vernon, police said.
The RCMP and the B.C. Coroners Service continue a joint investigation into Wedenig's death.
However, police say she is not believed to have been a victim of foul play.
Wedenig disappeared from a mental health facility last Friday.
