The Christmas bulbs are shining brightly above Vernon Jubilee Hospital.
The VJH Foundation has announced its 28th annual Light a Bulb campaign has surpassed its $200,000 goal.
The campaign has raised $213,162 for the purchase of two new orthopedic surgical sets aimed at reducing the lengthy waiting list for hip and knee surgeries at the hospital.
“Support for the hospital is always very strong,” said campaign chair Marg Bailey. “But this year’s Light a Bulb campaign resonated with so many people. They understood the necessity for the campaign.”
Bailey thanked community organizations and individuals throughout the region for their support.
