The Christmas lights are sparkling above Vernon Jubilee Hospital.
The VJH Foundation says its Light a Bulb campaign is just over three-quarters of the way to its $200,000 goal.
Since launching the campaign Nov. 12, the campaign has garnered $153,720 in donations.
The money raised will be used to purchase orthopedic surgical equipment to alleviate long wait times for hip and knee surgeries.
“The additional sets will allow surgeons to increase the number of surgeries performed every day at VJH,” says campaign chair Marg Bailey. “This will help dramatically decrease wait times for residents of the North Okanagan.”
