A wayward iPod has been reunited with its owner.
Vernon RCMP Const. Jocelyn Noseworthy said an iPod, which police suspect was stolen from the Greater Vernon area and contained thousands of pictures, has been claimed.
“They were surprised to get their iPod back. It's not very common to get items that you have lost or been stolen returned to you,” said Noseworthy.
Noseworthy said there is not enough evidence to press charges.
Police made the theft public and began to search for the owner because of the number of photos on the device.
The owner of the iPod was not from the Vernon area.
Noseworthy released no further details.
