Vernon RCMP are trying to track down who ever left an envelope full of money at the downtown Safeway.
On July 29, someone left a light brown envelope full of cash at checkout 6 at 12:55 p.m.
RCMP spokesperson Gord Molendyk said the envelope “has writing in black lettering indicating the amount of cash and what it was to be used for.”
The person who lost the cash did not return to the Safeway to claim it so it was taken to the police.
“The owner of the money can come to the police office and claim it once you are able to identify what was written on the envelope,” said Molendyk.
