Vernon RCMP are continuing their investigation into an apartment fire that sent two men to hospital with severe burns.
The fire happened last Friday afternoon in the 3400 block of Okanagan Avenue.
The blaze was contained to the bathroom of the apartment and fire officials have turned the investigation over to police.
RCMP spokesperson Gord Molendyk said the investigation is in the early stages and they have not been able to speak with the two men, ages 20 and 21, because they were sent to the burn unit in Vancouver.
“We have some indication of how the fire started,” said Molendyk, adding police will not be releasing any more details on the fire or the investigation at this time.
Molendyk said the two unidentified men were not known to police.
