MVA sends one to hospital

One man was taken to Vernon Jubilee Hospital with undetermined injuries after rolling his convertible car Sunday afternoon.

The accident happened just before 4 p.m. several kilometres south of Vernon on Highway 97 near Kalamalka Lake View Drive.

Vernon RCMP Const. Josh Elvin said the incident is under investigation and he could offer few details.

The unidentified man was the only person in the red, older model British sports car that went into the ditch exiting a right-hand curve.

“He's expected to survive as far as I know,” said Elvin from the scene.
