Despite blustery conditions and sometimes heavy rain, crowds of foodies turned out for the Slow Food Festival of Taste at Davison Orchard on Sunday.
Davison family members and staff gave tours of the new cannery building, where delicious smells of fudge wafted out into the grounds, and a mechanical apple peeling machine dating back to the 1940s was demonstrated by eager young Davisons.
The peeler has separated the skins from every apple ever baked into a pie on the farm since just after the Second World War.
Craft condiment samples and artisan cheeses were offered to festival-goers, along with dishes served up by Vernon's own MasterChef Canada contestant, Jennifer Innis. And there was plenty to buy to take home, too, along with live music.
Here are a few of the sights at the festival, as shot by Davison's Shane Landreville.
