A single-vehicle collision caused a power outage in Coldstream just after midnight.
The vehicle left Kalamalka Lake Road and severed a power pole, causing a large portion of Coldstream and Vernon to lose power overnight, says Const. Jocelyn Noseworthy of the North Okanagan RCMP.
The female driver and lone occupant of the vehicle was taken to Vernon Jubilee Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
Kal Lake Road between Postill Drive and Kidston Road is expected to remain closed for several hours this morning while BC Hydro crews repair the damage.
The collision is under investigation by police.
