Multiple robberies, same suspect

Salmon Arm RCMP are looking for someone they believe committed two robberies, last week.

The first incident happened Dec. 5 around 6:30 a.m., when an employee of M&M Meat Shop discovered a break and enter in progress. The employee had been working in the back of the store and heard the sound of glass breaking.

A man dressed in coveralls and a ski mask had broken through the door and was found stealing food from the freezer, according to Sgt. Kevin Keane.

“The male then exited through the door and was seen driving away in a Ford pickup truck,” he says.

While police were on scene, a second break and enter occurred at the West 30 Liquor Store. The suspect in that robbery also smashed a window and stole a quantity of liquor and cigarettes.

Police say video surveillance indicates the same person robbed both locations.

The vehicle used in the robberies matches the description of one stolen from Kamloops last week.
