Two teens killed in crash

Two people have been killed after a driver lost control and hit an oncoming semi truck near Salmon Arm.

The collision happened on the Trans-Canada Highway near the Canoe Lumber Mill, east of the town.

RCMP Cpl. Wasylenki says a Honda Civic with an 18 and 19-year-old from Calgary was travelling eastbound and entering a curve in the road, when it crossed over the centre line into the path of a westbound semi.

Weather and road conditions were clear at the time of the accident, and police are continuing their investigation.
