A young woman is in some serious trouble after she was found to be drunk driving Saturday night in Vernon.
The 22-year-old Vernon resident was involved in three separate collisions, before police finally pulled her over on Old Kamloops Road around 11 p.m.
Police were first alerted after a motorist was stopped near 43rd Avenue and the intersection to Kal Tire Place. That person told officers a grey Chevy Cavalier travelling westbound blew through a red light at the intersection and sideswiped the driver side of his car.
The female driver did not stop and continued along 43rd at a high rate of speed. Once officers finally pulled her over, they discovered that she had also damaged a median and sheared off a yield sign.
Her vehicle was severely damaged and Vernon RCMP say she was very intoxicated.
The woman is facing charges of impaired driving.
