House fire in Armstrong

A house in Armstrong was engulfed in flames Friday night.

The blaze destroyed the house on Otter Lake Cross Road and a garage in the back of the property. The house next door was partly damaged, but was otherwise saved from the flames.

Everyone escaped unharmed, BC Ambulance, RCMP and the Armstrong Fire Department responded.

The fire was reported at around 9 p.m.

Cpl. Mary Seniuk, with Armstrong RCMP, says the cause of the fire is not known at this time, but it is not deemed suspicious.
