The body of an adult male found Wednesday morning at 9:00 a.m. in Vernon creek near 25th Avenue has been identified as 30 year old Lightning John Wells of Vernon. Police conducted a thorough investigation at the scene and took the body to the morgue at Vernon Jubilee Hospital at 4:00 o'clock. An autopsy was performed on the deceased Thursday morning and so far police are emphasizing that no foul play is suspected in Wells' death. Police and the Coroner’s Service are waiting for lab results in order to determine the cause of this death which is unknown at this time.
