Another day---another Okanagan Wildfire.
A second wildfire in the South Okanagan broke mid-afternoon today. The wildfire is off Eastside Road at the end of Skaha Lake between Penticton and Okanagan Centre.
BC Forest Services spokesperson Shelly Marsh says the blaze is currently six hectares in size. Air tankers have hit the fire hard, knocking it down to where it is a rank one/rank two surface fire.
19 firefighters, members of the OK Falls Fire Department, two water tankers and two pieces of heavy equipment are currently working on the fire.
