The wildfire just east of Oliver continues to grow and burn out of control.
The fire, which began around noon Tuesday, has grown to 400 hectares in size, almost double what it was last night.
Heavy winds, gusting at times to 50 km/h Tuesday night, and hot temperatures continue to fuel the fire's growth.
BC Forest Service spokesman Dale Bojahra says structures that were in danger on Tuesday are out of harms way for the time being. He says that could change with any sudden shift in winds.
Bojahra says the potential for lightning in the area is also of concern to firefighters.
Bojahra says this fire is going to be very difficult to fight.
